Low, Mid or High: Choosing Your Brompton Handlebar

The handlebar you pick changes your riding position more than any other option. Here's how to choose.

Brompton offers three handlebar heights across the range, and it's the choice that most changes how the bike feels. There's no 'best' one - it depends on your body and the way you like to ride.

The Low bar gives a sportier, more forward position. It suits taller riders and anyone who wants a faster, more aerodynamic feel, and it keeps the folded package especially tidy.

The Mid bar is the most popular and the natural all-rounder - an upright-but-active position that works for most riders and most journeys.

The High bar puts you fully upright, taking pressure off the wrists and giving a commanding view of traffic. It's ideal for relaxed city riding and for shorter riders who want the bars closer.

On every bike's product page you'll see a simple icon for each height. If you can, come and try the different bars in person - it's the quickest way to know which is right.
